Hello North Reading community,

Did you know that the Community Cares Closet is available to all middle and high school students? Now in its first full year of operation, the Closet provides free clothing, hygiene products, toiletries, and school supplies to any student who needs them.

Student Council applied for and received a NASSP (National Association of Secondary School Principals) national student grant to cover the costs. With this grant, we went to Walmart and purchased a wide range of items in all sizes and styles—including clothing for all genders, shoes, makeup, body care products, backpacks, school supplies, and more. Combined with generous community donations, the Closet is stocked with essentials to support every student.

The Community Cares Closet was created to help students by providing what they need in a dignified, private way. Whether you need a winter coat, hygiene products, or school supplies, the Closet is here to foster confidence and belonging for all students.

How to Access the Closet: To schedule a private appointment, contact Mrs. Burke at liburke@nrpsk12.org. She will arrange a time for you to visit and select what you need in a confidential setting.

For any further questions, don’t hesitate to email or reach out to Natalia Panousos (npanousos@st.nrpsk12.org), or Shenaya Verma (sverma@st.nrpsk12.org)!
